Autumn: A Six-Week Journey of Rest, Reflection & Release
About this Event
🍂 Autumn: A Six-Week Journey of Rest, Reflection & Release
Restorative Yoga & Yoga Nidra
Tuesdays, 8–9pm | 22 September – 27 October 2026
Helen Ayling Yoga Studio, West Worthing
As the days grow shorter and the natural world begins to turn inward, autumn invites us to slow down, pause and listen.
This six-week series combines restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra with seasonal themes of reflection, release and renewal.
Each week offers an opportunity to step away from the busyness of everyday life, settle into your body and create some space to notice what is happening beneath the surface.
We'll follow a journey through the season — beginning with celebration and harvest, moving through lived experience, ancestry and letting go, and ending with energy, renewal and the power of rest.
You don't need to be flexible, experienced in yoga or able to meditate. There is nothing you need to achieve. Simply come as you are.
🍁 The six-week journey
Week 1 — Celebration & Harvest
22 September
Autumn begins with the harvest — a time to gather and appreciate what has grown.
We'll take time to recognise what we've cultivated, experienced and learned this year. What have you gathered? What are you proud of? What deserves to be celebrated?
Week 2 — Lived Experience & Becoming
29 September
Our experiences shape us, but they don't necessarily define us.
We'll explore our lived experience and the ongoing process of becoming — who we have been, who we are now and who we are still becoming.
Week 3 — Honouring Ancestral Wisdom
6 October
Autumn gives us an opportunity to look back as well as inward.
We'll explore the wisdom, stories, knowledge and traditions passed down to us, considering what we want to honour, what we want to carry forward and what we might choose to do differently.
Week 4 — What No Longer Serves Me
13 October
As the trees begin to shed their leaves, we'll reflect on what we might be ready to let go of.
Old patterns, expectations, beliefs, habits or ways of being can all take energy to maintain. What might you be ready to loosen your grip on?
Week 5 — Release, Let Go, Make Space
20 October
Letting go doesn't have to be forced.
Through restorative practice and deep rest, we'll explore the possibility of release — allowing some things to soften, fall away or simply take up less space, creating room for whatever comes next.
Week 6 — Harnessing Energy & The Power of Rest
27 October
We finish by exploring our relationship with energy and rest.
🍂 A six-week seasonal journey
The six sessions are designed to connect with one another, following the natural movement of autumn from harvest towards letting go, stillness and renewal.
Booking the full six-week series is encouraged, both because it offers the best value and because there can be something powerful about making regular space for yourself and allowing the themes to unfold gradually over time.
However, if you can't commit to all six weeks, individual drop-ins are also welcome when spaces are available.
Booking options

🤎 A little space for you
Autumn doesn't ask the trees to hold onto their leaves.
It invites them to let go.
Perhaps we can learn something from that.
Come and take an hour each week to slow down, turn inward, rest and reconnect with yourself as the season changes.
Six weeks. Six themes. A little more space to simply be.
