During this time, caregivers will complete a brief participation waiver required for all animal interactions. Staff and volunteers will be available to assist with waiver questions and ensure the process is simple and stress-free. Once checked in, families will receive an overview of the event layout, animal interaction guidelines, and optional one-on-one experiences. This opening period is designed to help children and caregivers acclimate comfortably to the environment, meet the team, and identify calm areas if needed. The goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and well-organized start to the day that sets the tone for a positive and supportive experience.
