About this Event
Saturday, 06/22, 12-4pm, Adult Area: During our Summer Reading Kick Off day, we will have our traditional Authors’ EXPO, but with a new format. We will have 6 authors present for sign-in, who will have the chance to give a 15-minute presentation of their new books. The exact time of the presentations will be announced at a later time. The participating authors and their books are listed below:
C. Ptolemy Pruden – “China Rising”: The Case For Containment outlines actions the United States can take along with its friends and allies to address the rapid militarization of the People’s Republic of China in the Western Pacific.
Diana Carter – “The Candidate: Back to Business”: The Candidate: Back to Business
The Candidate: Back to Business is a sequel to The Candidate: The Race to the Top. This book continues with the story of two best friends Justin Bradley and Darius Kane. Their friendship is tested once again when Darius returns home after living in Florida for years (taking care of his now deceased parents). The trouble that followed Darius wreaked chaos on their personal and professional lives. Will Justin and Darius find a way to overcome the damage to their lives or will they go down like a sinking ship?
Melanie Martin – “God Is Close to the Brokenhearted”: This book is a powerful and inspiring testimony of God’s love and faithfulness. It will comfort you, challenge you, and empower you to live with a grateful and joyful heart. Whether you are going through a divorce, a breakup, a death, or any other kind of heartbreak, this book will help you find hope and healing in God.
Cherie Blackwell – “An Unknown Angel’s Gift: A Couple’s Lung Transplant Journey”: An inspiring true story offering hope to patients and caregivers struggling with any disease process, told by me, a caregiver to my husband, who waited for 8 years on oxygen for a lifesaving transplant.
Russell Dore: Info will be available at a later time.
Voncile Campbell: Info will be available at a later time.
