The Spine Bookshop proudly presents AuthorCon 2026, a two-day celebration of local and independent authors, readers, narrators, and the art of storytelling — happening right in the heart of Smyrna, TN, right outside of Nashville, TN.This year’s event will bring together writers of all genres — from fantasy and romance to poetry and children’s literature — for a weekend packed with author signings, panel discussions, giveaways, and community fun. Whether you’re an avid reader, a writer with dreams of publishing, or just love a good story, AuthorCon 2026 will be a weekend you won’t want to miss.
“Our goal with AuthorCon is simple,” said Lindsay Schultz, owner of The Spine Bookshop and event organizer. “We want to celebrate storytelling in all its forms — to connect readers with authors, writers with narrators, lift up independent voices, and remind people that local bookstores are where community happens.”
