Tamara Duda is a Ukrainian writer and translator who lives in Kyiv, Ukraine. From 2014 to 2016, Tamara Duda was an active front-line volunteer. Her debut novel ”Daughter” (2019) is set in Donbas in 2014. The novel follows a young woman as her hometown falls to Russian “separatists.” ”Daughter” got the BBC Book of the Year 2019 Award, and recieved Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine in 2022. ”Daughter” is available in Swedish at Ersatz Förlag. The author talk will be held in English and is led by Iryna Melnychenko. The program is free of charge. The program is arranged in collaboration with Ukraine Culture Now.
