Join local author Ramzi Mowjood for an engaging talk about his self-published novel Romance for Survival, a thought-provoking story set on a tropical island in the 1960s.
The novel follows two young people who meet at village school and grow up together, guided in unexpected ways by a mysterious Mynah bird that transforms into a wise being. As their relationship develops, they are drawn to a sacred mountain where a hermit shares insights into love, relationships, and the deeper meaning of human connection.
Blending romance, spirituality, nature, and wisdom, Romance for Survival explores what helps a relationship endure and how love can support us through life's challenges.
Ramzi will also introduce his earlier self-published book, The Sage Under the Banyan Tree, inspired by the teachings of the Indian spiritual teacher Ramana Maharishi, and will share a short talk about its themes.
Come along to hear the author's story, discover the inspiration behind his books, and join the conversation about love, life, and the pursuit of wisdom.
