Author Talk: Bedridden with Dustin Grinnell

Join author Dustin Grinnell at Aeronaut Brewing Company as he discusses his new novella, Bedridden, published by the University of California Health Humanities Press.

The medical thriller asks a provocative question: can breakdown lead to breakthrough? When a psychiatrist recovering from a mysterious illness opens an alternative mental health clinic in the woods of Concord, MA, he and his first patient embark on a radical—and increasingly dangerous—experiment to make people sick in order to heal them. It’s a story about two people who become convinced they’ve unlocked the secret to human transformation—and what it costs them to find out they’re wrong.

The evening will open with a brief introduction by a local author, followed by remarks from Dustin and a short reading from the book. From there, the conversation opens up. Expect a candid discussion about the ideas behind the novella, the writing process, and an audience Q&A, all with a cold drink in hand.

About 30 print copies of Bedridden will be available for purchase at the event. Attendees are welcome to grab their own beverages from the bar and settle in for what promises to be a thought-provoking hour. This one is free and open to the public.
