I already know there are some wedding planners reading this like,“…a DJ wrote a book that’s supposed to help me?”
Stay with me.
Before I was ever a DJ, I was deep in hospitality. I went to school for it, got the degree.
Worked front desk at hotels, which is basically a crash course in human behavior and patience.
Then I moved into sales and meeting coordination… in hotels, on riverboats, on yachts… meaning I wasn’t just showing up for events, I was helping build them from the inside out.
Contracts. Timelines. Client expectations. Logistics. Flow.
All of it.
I became a DJ when the market crashed in 2008 and my position was eliminated due to budget cuts. It was then, that my side hustle as a karaoke host became my full time job.
So no, I'm not a DJ who decided to write a book because I play music.
I understand how events are sold, structured, and executed… and then stepped into the role that either make or breaks the whole event…
After 15+ years in business, awards, packed dance floors, timelines that actually run the way they’re supposed to…
I stopped keeping the “why it works” part in my head and finally put it into a book!
IMO, when couples understand what’s actually happening, they become part of the team and suddenly everyone’s job gets easier, including yours.
So if you’re curious… or skeptical… or slightly annoyed that this might actually make sense… come see for yourself.
