When librarian Cecily Jane Allerton and hotshot struggling author Nate Ellis are caught in a compromising position during their MFA program, they decide to get married to keep the haters from destroying their careers. To the horror of Cecily's family, which is a big fan of big white weddings, they elope to City Hall. Now they're back on Block Island, pretending to be a real married couple, and finding that however fake the relationship may be, the mutual attraction is all too real. With Cecily vying for a literary award, Nate striving to get past his writer's block, and plans to annul the marriage after the MFA program ends, what could possibly go wrong?

KJ Micciche (she/her/hers) is a novelist who writes contemporary romance with humor and heart. She hails from Queens, New York, where she spent countless hours curled up under the covers, reading The Babysitters Club as a kid by flashlight way past her bedtime. A lifetime believer in the power of literacy, KJ runs a non-profit organization that teaches kids with dyslexia how to read, and she pens her own stories as well. Proud mom of two little girls, she and her family live on Long Island and summer in Cape Cod.

Elizabeth Davis is a full-time nerd whose interests include cold weather, rainy days, coffee, Minnesota Public Radio, and rom coms where characters’ homes vastly outstrip the income they would get from their jobs. Born and raised in suburban Milwaukee, she now lives in Minneapolis with her husband and two children. Elizabeth is the author of The Player Next Door and I Love You, I Hate You.
