About the author: A bookworm from the start, RD Pires wrote his first novel when he was nine-years-old. Since then, he has written and released several works of fiction including Design of Darkness, the first entry in the dark, epic fantasy series The Tides That Reign. When he's not writing, he can either be found taking care of his newborn daughter, or working as a mechanical engineer.
