Livermore Public Library is excited to present a special literary event featuring acclaimed author Ann Parker, creator of the award-winning "Silver Rush" historical mystery series. Parker will join Judy Wheeler, owner of Towne Center Books, for an engaging conversation about her novels, writing process, and the fascinating history behind her stories.
The event will take place on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 7 p.m. in the Community Rooms at Civic Center Library (1188 S. Livermore Avenue).
Ann Parker’s "Silver Rush" series vividly portrays life in the silver boomtown of Leadville, Colorado, during the 1880s. The first five books are set primarily in Leadville, while the most recent installments follow protagonist Inez Stannert to San Francisco. The series has been recognized as a "Booksellers Favorite" by the Mountains and Plains Independent Booksellers Association and is published by Poisoned Pen Press, an imprint of Sourcebooks.

When she’s not writing, she enjoys reading, wrangling household cats, and drinking copious amounts of coffee.
