Join me in exploring revealing and owing our places on the implicit spectrums around us - and how our experience of polarity (magnetism) affects us relationally - come practice creating awareness & choice in your connections.I have come to learn that when I feel a polarity - a black & white, right & wrong, open & closed, masculine & feminine - that these are poles at the ends of a spectrum - and an invitation to look for the shades between the two poles. For example, I might see someone who embodies freedom when I have little control in my life and feel a charge toward them or between us. In unconscious awareness this can become a barrier to connection - a push away - or it can cause a magnetising and pulling toward from an unconscious desire to experience what that person has that I donโt. Both can lead to some challenging and often painful relational dynamics. Bringing this into our awareness & Revealing Our Experience can help us navigate and connect to ourselves and others more openly and deeply.
Unresolved & unaware charges can drive the bus and leave us feeling not in control. When I can integrate - become aware of and accept - any charge I have - I mature and can take ownership, gaining freedom to choose how I play with both the spectrum & the polarity. This is a path to emotional & relational maturing.

Authenticity is being yourself - it is knowing what you want and need from moment to moment in each connection and situation and acting in-line with this deep part of you.
Relating is being in connection with others - and this can have many flavors from crunchy and awkward to intimately seen.
The challenge is if I do not share who I am - I have given myself away to be in a quality of connection that likely does not feed me.
Authentic relating is a dance and interplay in which we give and receive, and find edges and boundaries, and figure out what feels good and what does not. The question I am inviting us to explore together is what happens when I truly share my authentic self with others and am received warmly, perhaps enthusiastically,in that expression?
During this evening, we play games that involve sharing and listening in groups of 2-3+ people and sometimes up to the whole group.
This event is friendly for absolute beginners who want to explore relating and connecting more deeply with others. It is also friendly for those more experienced in connective practices who want to deepen their practice.

When I started using Authentic Relating practices my relationships & life immediately started to change - to experiences of deeper connection, being seen, heard and supported. I feel grateful to be able to facilitate these curated events and share them with you. I want us to all have support in choosing to live in connective ways.
I have completed ART International's L1 & L2 The ART of Being Human course - as well as Level 3 which is a week-long residential facilitation training called The ART of Leadership. I have also supported in the teaching of the L1 3x. I also facilitate Connective Communication workshops, Coach and generally support people with my company businessforhumans.ca
I am deeply committed to relational and personal growth, and I practice these as a way of life.
