Connect More using interactive Authentic Relating games, Circling and Communication Activities, in a Facilitated, Collaborative Community setting. Whether you want to connect more deeply with yourself, with others in your community, your friends, family, coworkers, or relationships, platonically, romantically, or the spectrum in between, this will be a supportive, consensual and intentional space to do so.
This event incorporates, sitting, talking and movement activities to engage in a full cognitive and somatic experience. You are always at choice.
You can choose to participate in as much, or as little as you wish.
🌿 Led by licensed Therapist, Charity Loring, LMSW of Loring Therapy LLC.
This is not group therapy, although some people find these events fun, engaging and therapeutic.
Charity has been facilitating groups for over 20 years, and is passionate about creating safe, warm, welcoming, consent based spaces, and opportunities for people to connect with themselves and others. She believes that everyone needs a balance of self-care and co-care.

Tired of small talk? When you are socializing, does it seem that people are talking -at- each other and not -with- each other? Authentic relating creates deeper and more meaningful connections through many modalities, like reflective listening, curiosity questions, verbal and non-verbal expression, and much more.
Connection comes in many forms. Our gatherings are fun, deep, meaningful, consent based, sober and supportive.
To practice connecting with yourself and others by being truly seen, heard, understood, and to be more present for connection, come explore in our facilitated and welcoming environment.
We will play and practice various connection and communication games and use methods via authentic relating, Mindfulness, Playfulness, being intentional with our words and actions, NVC (non violent communication), movement practices and other techniques. We will use large group, small group and one on one formats (may vary for different events)
☀️Connections can be Platonic, Romantic or the nuanced variations in between. Whether you are single/solo, polyamorous, monogamous or RA, all relationship styles, genders, 🌈 LGBTQ+, non gender conforming folx, Neuro typical, Neuro diverse (and all other expressions and identities) are welcome. You can come solo, partnered, with family or with friends. We’re all in this together.
👟 Bring: your own nonalcoholic drinks and snacks if you think you'll want them, writing utensils if you wish, and anything else to make, you feel comfortable. Some Chairs, floor mats, and floor cushions will be available.
Parking and Accessibility: Free parking on street after 6pm and weekends. Parking also available in adjacent lot between ypsi alehouse and rhizome roots. Building is ADA-accessible.
