Authentic Authority | Women’s 8 Week Growth Group

When you hear the words Authentic Authority, you might imagine confidence, strength, boundaries, or finally learning how to speak up.
Those things may emerge, but that isn’t where we begin.
Authentic authority begins much more quietly.
It begins with being able to stay connected to yourself.
To notice what happens in your body when you want to say no but hear yourself saying yes.
To recognize when you are overriding your own needs.
To notice the part of you that works very hard to keep everyone else comfortable.
And, little by little, to develop enough internal safety to listen to what is true for you.
I sometimes describe this as secure attachment to self.
It doesn’t mean we stop needing other people.
It means:
I can deeply need and love other people without having to leave myself in order to keep them.
That is some of the territory we’ll explore in my new 8-week women’s group, Authentic Authority.
We’ll use body-centered practices, nervous system awareness, reflection, connection, and the wisdom that emerges when women have a safe place to be genuinely seen.
“After each group I found myself feeling more grounded, empowered, and open to deeper intimacy with my life.”
— Erin Catherine Hunter
