Austin Poetry Slam: Anarchy Slam

Throw the rulebook out the window. Austin Poetry Slam is back with the Anarchy Slam, a night where the traditional constraints of performance poetry disappear, and chaos takes center stage. Hosted by the legendary Mr. Dave, this is not your average open mic.

The "Rules" (Or Lack Thereof)

In a typical slam, you can’t use props, music, or costumes. At the Anarchy Slam, we say: do it all.

• PROPS? Pack your trunk.
• ANIMALS? Unleash the beast.
• MUSIC? Bring the whole band.
• STOLEN WORDS? If you didn’t write it, we don’t care—just perform it better than the original.

THE ONLY REMAINING RULE: You have 3 minutes and 10 seconds. Why? Because we love chaos, but we also love our beds.
