A Community Open Mic for Creativity, Expression & Connection

Aura Open Mic is a space to gather, create, listen, and simply be.

Created to support local creatives and bring community together, this evening is open to everyone. Come share something of your own, support someone taking the mic, or simply settle in and experience what unfolds.

You don’t have to perform to belong in the room.

Musicians, poets, spoken-word artists, storytellers, actors, comedians, and creatives of all kinds are welcome. Whether you’re experienced, stepping up to a mic for the first time, sharing something polished, or trying out something still taking shape, there is space for you here.

No pressure to be perfect. No need to be anything other than your authentic self.

Our host, Isis Portal, a performing poet, musician, and multimedia artist, will open the evening with a guided meditation and affirmations to help everyone arrive, calm the nerves, open creatively, and settle into the space.

Then, the mic belongs to the community.

We’ll close the evening with Stacey Valle, owner of Aura, shamanic practitioner, and former DJ, guiding a 30-minute immersive sound journey with sound healing and shamanic instruments.
