Our August 2026 VANPLA monthly meeting will take place on Sunday, August 23rd, 2026, from 12pm to 5pm at the Bob Prittie Metrotown Burnaby Library (Sponsored by VANPLA)

We will be hosting the VANPLA Exhibition at this event:

Are you working on something special? If you have a build you've been wanting to share, now is the perfect time.
Vanpla will be hosting a showcase at the Metrotown Library Program Room on August 23rd from noon until 5:00 PM. We'd love for you to bring your masterpieces!
Remember, this isn't a competition—it's a conversation. It's a relaxed space for us to connect, appreciate each other's hard work, and learn from one another.
2026 VANPLA Newtype memberships will NOT be available for sale at this event due to restrictions set by the Library regulations for non-profit group use of the meeting room.
If you wish to get a 2026 VANPLA Newtype membership card, please use the Pre-registration Form:

Membership cards will be dropped off at Sakura Media @ Metrotown for pickup.
Newtype memberships provide VANPLA members with a 10% discount (or more) to participating VANPLA sponsors.
Please direct any questions to any VANPLA executive members.
Every month, VANPLA members get together for a build and socialize meetup. Usual activities include:
- kits building (bring your kits and tools)
- show your proud completed work
- technique coaching (feel free to ask)
- demos and workshops
- group build/event discussion
- meet new people, chill, and enjoy socializing.
We invite everyone to join. No membership/fee is required.
House Rules:
Support the VANPLA Community by keeping it positive in the public eye.
Please clean up after yourself.
Watch your language – remember, we are out in public and potentially with young children.
You will be responsible for the security of your own items.
VANPLA will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.
If you are feeling sick, please do not come to the event and stay home. Dancing by yourself is always optional. Masks are optional.
Stay safe and stay healthy!
