🥾About the event
The White Rose Challenge Walk is a 35 mile (56km) hike with 5600ft/1706m of ascent.
It’s begins at the White Horse and ends at the top of Roseberry Topping Trig Point. This route takes in the Cleveland way, a beautiful part of Yorkshire and takes in iconic points like the Wainstones, Sneck Yate Bank and Carlton Bank.
🥾How long will it take?
The challenge is to complete the full walk within 24 hours (we expect you to complete in between 14 -16hrs and we do reserve the right to ask you to come off the course if this time won’t be met. As this is challenge requires a good level of fitness)
🥾Do I need a map?
The event is fully guided walk, so no navigation required.
🥾Arrival
Start time is 6am sharp. We ask that you are ready to go for that time. It’s essential that you arrive in a timely manner to get your kit sorted!

🥾Finish
You will finish at Roseberry Topping and then be taken to The Village Hall 83 High St, Great Ayton, Middlesbrough TS9 6NF. (The village hall is 5 minutes from the end of the walk and YTO will transport you to the village hall after) If you are getting picked up please ensure they pick you up from here and there is a car park at the back.
If you have your own transport waiting for you, you will be taken to your car will be at the end point.
🥾 Transport Option - if you choose this option the bus will pick you up from Great Ayton at 515am to bring you to the White Horse which is the start. You then leave your vehicle so it is there when you finish.

Please note I will try to find us free parking for you to leave your vehicle so please bare with me on that.
🥾 There will be a briefing meeting via a call held before the event for anyone to attend to ask questions and hear how the event will go - Date TBC

Please note we are aiming for completing between 8pm and 10pm, a good level of fitness is required for the event. Anyone having done Yorkshire 3 Peaks or 25 miles is great experience.
