August Readaloud: The Story of My Life by Helen Keller

The August readaloud event for the Listen Up Book Club - Join us at the amazing Philosopher's House for a beautiful gathered readaloud of Helen Keller’s memoir The Story of My Life. For this read-aloud book club, no one has to read anything in advance, and there's nothing to prep - just show up as you are (though you may enjoy bringing a handicraft for your listening time). Cmon in to the Teahouse, grab a snack, and enjoy the weirdly wholesome community of a readaloud. The format: I read part of a “classic-ish novel” aloud for the group (one I've never read before, so I'm experiencing it brand new for the added surprise!) with some chapter breaks for random group discussion and an "intermission" halfway through. This would be perfect for listener crafts, mending clothes, or coloring books - and there will also be some socializing before and after, with of course DISCUSSION (if you like).
