August Potluck: A Garden Party

Time: 5:30 - 8:00pm
Location: Bancroft Community Garden

Please join us to celebrate the long and abundant days of August and summer gardens with a SLOW FOOD GARDEN PARTY at Bancroft Community Garden!
For your potluck contribution, let’s go super seasonal and fresh in honor of the edible garden that we’ll be dining in. Source from your own garden if you’re able, or stop by one of the hugely abundant farmers markets happening nearly every day of the week around the region. Or pop by Bancroft Community Garden during open hours (generally 11am to 7pm-ish) to pick some herbs to include!
Need some ideas? How about melted zucchini, simple marinated tomatoes, fresh borlotti beans… What else is your garden bursting with these days? Oooh, what about cucumbers?
Since we’re meeting outside, please bring your own eating vessel and utensils in addition to your dish… and grab a friend or two - we love meeting new folks and introducing them to Slow Food!
We’ll supply libations and drinking cups, seating and tours of the beautiful Bancroft Garden with manager Steve.
Confirmations will be sent out three days before the gathering and more details about location and dish preparations will be included.
If you need to cancel, please do so at least 36 hours in advance of the gathering so we have time to find someone to take your place. This is a small event (25 people!) with limited seats, so every single one of you counts! (Of course, if you have an exposure to Covid or aren't feeling well, last minute cancellations are absolutely appropriate.)
