August Men's Circle - Cal VanSingel, Guest Speaker

We are really excited for our August Men's Circle as we welcome Cal VanSingel as our guest speaker.
Cal is a man of deep roots-in the fields of West Michigan and in the faith that shaped every chapter of his life.
For decades, he worked the land alongside his two brothers on the family farm in Grant, MI., where they grew onions, carrots, corn, parsnips, celery and mint. Farming isn't just a livelihood, it's a way of life that teaches patience, persistence, and dependance on something greater than yourself. Cal carried those lessons with him when he retired from farming in 2020.
Beyond the fields, Cal spent 20 years as a sports radio announcer in the Muskegon area, lending his voice to countless games and becoming a familiar presence in the community. In 2019, Cal was inducted into the Muskegon Area Sports Hall of Fame.
But perhaps Cal's most enduring legacy is the ministry work almost didn't think himself qualified to do. A lifelong volunteer in Christian organizations, Cal felt a calling in 2007 to create something different - a place outside the walls of the church where men could simply gather, share stories of faith, and find brotherhood. From that simple vision, Grant Men's Ministries was born. What started as a local gathering grew into something much larger, expanding to White Lake Men's Ministries, and eventually Cal's Corner Ministries, which now reaches people around the world through social media and podcasts.
Cal would be the first to tell you he's "just a putz" - an ordinary guy with no special credentials. And that's exactly the point. his life is a living reminder that God doesn't call the equipped, He equips the called. Cal's message is refreshingly simple: just say YES to Jesus.
