Come see this beautiful show! The LUSTER (Loess-ter) Collection is a body of work by Emily McQueen depicting the land and sky of the Loess Hills, a unique landform that distinguishes the region's vibrant landscape.
Join us for the Closing Reception at the Creston Arts Depot Gallery on Friday, August 29th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Light refreshments will be provided!
About the Artist:
Emily McQueen is a painter living in Glenwood, Iowa. McQueen draws inspiration from the Iowa landscape, her life as a disabled woman, and personal experiences surrounding her faith. She graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with a bachelor's degree in University Studies, emphasis in Elementary Education and Art. In 2021, she became the owner of the Fine Arts on Fifth Gallery and Studio in Malvern, Iowa, where she creates her own artwork, teaches classes, and shows the work of other local artists.
