LGBTQIA+ writers have been writing since the early days of literature. This August, we're celebrating the power of queer storytelling by shining a light on these authors and their characters. From powerful memoirs to joyful fiction, these books celebrate queer identities in all their complexity. Whether you're part of the rainbow whānau or an ally, join us at the end of the month for some tea, snacks, good yarns and meaningful connection. 🥳🏳️‍🌈
As always, we've got a great in-house display filled with reading suggestions, and our staff are always happy to help you find a book! You can also borrow eBooks and eAudiobooks for free with your library membership through Libby and BorrowBox, so no excuses to not get reading 😉
