Here’s the BIG NEWS! The August All clubs Riders and friends are hosting a fundraiser immediately following the morning ACR invigorating spin for our very own Manny Dizon! We are planning on having a massive potluck lunch fundraiser and all donations received will go directly to Manny to help his unforgiving battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Although he’s gone through both chemo and radiation treatments, he is still battling this beast and has recently sought alternative care which unfortunately is not covered by his medical insurance!Hector Mejia graciously committed to donating a whole hog for this event and it will be a big part of the lunch we’re having! Any other items and or suggestions will be gratefully accepted!
The plan for those interested, is to ride the normal monthly ACR routes to keep this fluid and seamless. Following the ride, everyone is welcome to sit around, have lunch, visit with Manny who, despite going through some very tough times is determined to be there.
Meet at Creekside Park around 7:30M and pedals start spinning at 8:00am. Parking may be sparse as the pickleball players take up a lot of space! We will have the food tables and canopies set up in the open field between pickleball courts and the clean restrooms.
We also plan to have a raffle for a bicycle and/or possibly more, a midget/clown bike crit race and if possible, friendly but competitive games of Cornhole. It’ll definitely be a funstival and celebration of living!
Bring a chair and something to share. Cold water will be provided so if you have a need or want other beverages, please feel free to bring as well. Other details to follow as the event date gets closer.
