Welcome to the August 22-24, 2025 “A Moment in Time” Fundraising Scrapbook Event held in the Energy Education Center at the Kansas Oil Museum, 383 E Central Ave, El Dorado, KS. Contact 316/321-9333 or email [email protected] for more info.
Included in the weekend:
Setup-
8 ft’ table with electricity run to it
Sturdy chairs (you are welcome to bring your own if you like)
A HS Sports Team will be onsite to help you unload from 10:00 am - noon on Friday & load 1:00 - 3:00 pm on Sunday. There is no cost for this service, but tips are appreciated as it’s a fundraiser for the team.
We supply paper & plastic bags for your trash if wanted
Food -
Meals included: Friday Supper & Saturday Lunch
Leftovers are fair game for Saturday & Sunday. Wine & Cheese Tasting on Saturday evening. Our Artisan Cheesemaker Zac will also have a wide variety of fresh cheeses for sale.
Sunday Sundae Bar is included at 1:00 pm. Ice cream & August go together!
There is a commercial size fridge in the kitchen. The right side is available to home guest items for the weekend. The right side is reserved for the meals to be served & soda, tea & water available for $1 donations on the honor system.
There’s a microwave & a 550# capacity ice machine for your convenience.
There’s a table if anyone wants to bring snack items to share.
There’s a seating area away from your workspaces if you choose to dine there.
Lodging -
Holiday Inn Express El Dorado gives our guests a great discount for our events.
Vendors -
So far we have 8 vendors planning to attend the event. We are working to add even more.
Fun -
We will have raffles & a silent auction to raise funds for the museum. If you would like to donate items for the silent auction, they would be appreciated. There will also be a free/share table of items.
Admission to the museum & grounds is included during normal open hours Friday & Saturday.
Special Offering -
Free use of Ancestry.com & Newspapers.com in the Research Library. (If printing there will be a slight fee for copies.) A volunteer will be available to help you with genealogy research during specific times. A signup will be sent out ahead.
Signups for chair massages will also be sent ahead.
T-Shirt order forms will go out soon.
Photo opportunities in our 1920’s Boom Town will be available for making memories.
All for $150 which goes to support the museum.
