🎭✨ AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT ✨🎭Do you have what it takes to live in a swamp, rule a kingdom, or maybe just talk nonstop? 👀💚
Tell City Regional Arts is excited to announce auditions for our 2026 Summer Musical:
🧅 🐉 👑 Shrek The Musical 👑 🐉 🧅
We’re looking for a fun, energetic cast to bring this hilarious fairytale adventure to life! Whether you’re a seasoned performer or brand new to the stage, there’s a place for everyone in this wildly entertaining show. Adults and students entering 8th grade in the 2026–2027 school year are encouraged to audition!
🎤 Audition Dates:
📅 Friday, April 3 | 4:00–7:00 PM
📅 Saturday, April 4 | 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
📍 Location: 1020 11th Street – Coll Neu Photography Studio (next to Tell City Regional Arts)
🎶 Audition Requirements:
Prepare a 30–60 second song that highlights your vocal ability.
Bring recorded music or be ready to sing a cappella.
If auditioning for a lead character, you will be asked to read for that role.
All others will read an excerpt from the musical to determine voice quality and projection.
Prefer to request the dialogue reading in advance? Email [email protected] with the character you’re interested in auditioning for.
🎭 Come ready to sing, move, and show off your personality! Characters include a grumpy (but lovable) ogre, a fast-talking donkey, a feisty princess, and a whole kingdom of quirky fairytale creatures.
📅 Performance Dates: July 30 – August 2
Bring your talent, your enthusiasm, and maybe a little bit of that swampy charm… because this summer is going to be ogre-the-top! 💚
