The New Deal Creative Arts Center is excited to announce auditions this beloved, classic filled with iconic songs, memorable characters, and a heartwarming story.
⭐️This production will feature a large multigenerational cast, with roles available for children, teens, and adults.
⭐️ Performers of all experience levels are encouraged to audition!
🎭 Who can audition?
All ages, races, genders, gender identities, body types, abilities, and experience levels are encouraged to audition.
⭐ We strive to make space for as many performers as possible. Some roles may be double cast.

🎶 What to Prepare
Prepare 16–32 bars of a golden age musical theatre song. (apx 30-90 seconds). Song from the show are welcome.
Bring a backing track or sheet music in the correct key. (An accompanist / Bluetooth speaker will be available)
Be prepared for cold readings from the script
🎭 Rehearsal & Performance Schedule
Rehearsals Begin: On or after 4/26
Typical Rehearsal Days: Weekday evenings & weekends TBD based on cast availability .
Performance Dates:
July 9-12 & July 16-19
