The Half-Life of Marie Curie Auditions:March 8 is International Women's Day, and we'll be celebrating by holding auditions for The Half-Life of Marie Curie by Lauren Gunderson, a play about two real-life female scientists who transformed their love of nature into knowledge through rigorous experiments and ingenious inventions.
Auditions will run Sunday and Monday, March 8th and 9th from 6-8 pm. Casting includes two characters: Marie Curie, a French physicist of Polish origin, aged 44; and Hertha Ayrton, a British suffragist and engineer, aged 57. No accents are needed.
Auditions will be located at Riverfront Playhouse, 1950 California Street in Redding, and will include cold readings from the script. For questions, contact director Mollie Elizabeth Wood at [email protected].
Performance dates will be Friday evening May 1st, and Saturday & Sunday afternoons May 2nd & 3rd.
Performances may be staged readings or fully memorized shows, depending on performers’ interests and director’s discretion.
All are welcome. Please join us to try your hand at reading from the script about these tremendous friends and their achievements, their loves, their heartaches, and their scandals.
