An outrageous, raunchy spoof of every wonderfully awful nun movie to come out of Hollywood over the decades, including The Sound of Music, The Singing Nun, Agnes of God, The DaVinci Code, etc. - THE DIVINE SISTER requires experienced comic actors who are willing to take chances with the comedy, comfortable with some raunchy language and who can play multiple larger-than-life roles (think SNL).Takes place in 1960’s Pittsburgh, where the indomitable head of St. Vernoica’s, Mother Superior, is trying to raise funds for a new school and must cope with a young postulant who has visions and thinks she has healing powers, sexual hysteria in the nunnery, a “sensitive” schoolboy with secret yearnings, a mysterious visitor from the Mother House in Berlin, and a former suitor determined to lead her astray from her vows.
