🎭 Singin’ in the Rain SENIOR Edition Auditions! ☔️

This specially packaged production is only for performers of a “certain age”! The age requirement: 55 years young and up ONLY! That’s right, you’re now about to age-IN all of the roles!

For the first time ever, The "Greatest Movie Musical of All Time" has been faithfully and lovingly adapted into a fun, accessible 60-minute version, specifically for “senior” performers, and we are so excited to bring it to life with artists who have the stories, heart, and experience to make it shine. 🌂 It has all the same hilarious situations, snappy dialogue and the hit songs that make this show an all-time favorite.

Whether you keep your tap shoes ready to go, or it’s your first time trying theatre, all experience levels welcome!

🎟️ Audition Details:
• Fill out the google form below and choose your audition time.
• Auditions will be held in 3 time blocks; 9 AM, 10 AM, and 11 AM.
• Those auditioning for DANCE ONLY may come at Noon.
• Singing: Feel free to sing a song from the show, or in the style of Singin’ in the Rain, or any musical theatre song you are comfortable singing. Our goal is for you to feel confident, relaxed, and ready to shine. Singing “Happy Birthday” is fine too!
• If you want accompaniment for your song, bring your own track or have a YouTube link ready to play
• No monologue needed! Be ready for a cold reading from the script.
• Be ready to learn a short dance combination. Nothing strenuous at all!

📆 Rehearsals
Rehearsals will be scheduled on Wednesdays from 6:00 – 8:30 PM, and Sundays from 1:00 – 4:00 PM. Not everyone will be called for every rehearsal—schedules will be based on availability and scene requirements.
We may add an occasional third day of rehearsal as needed and cast is available, and as we get closer to show time.

All auditions, rehearsals, and performances will take place at Wonderland Center for Performing Arts (2807 Johnston St., Lafayette, LA).

☔️ About the Show:
Singin’ in the Rain SR is a joyful, fast-paced musical comedy set in 1920s Hollywood during the shift from silent films to “talkies.” When movie star, Lina’s pitchy voice threatens Don Lockwood’s career, he and his friends scramble to save the film, leading to romance, hijinks, and some of the most iconic song-and-dance numbers ever put on screen. 🌂✨
