ONCE UPON A SONG SHOW & AUDITION INFORMATION
SHOW DATES:
May 2nd – 4th. We are planning two shows on Saturday, May 3rd.
ABOUT THE SHOW:
In short, this is a Disney music revue. The show will consist of medleys from Disney films such as Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, and more. Each medley includes numerous opportunities for solos and group singing. There will be several standalone solos placed throughout the show as well.
This production will include musical theatre-type choreography.
There will be limited costumes, sets, and props.
We will perform in the West Platte Performing Arts Center.
AUDITION AGE RANGE:
8 to 15
We are looking to cast upwards of 20 people for this production.
AUDITION DATES/TIMES (The noted start time is for everyone):
Saturday, February 22nd from 1:00-4:00pm*
Sunday, February 23rd from 2:00-5:00pm*
*Estimated end times (dependent upon number of people auditioning)

AUDITION PROCESS:
Those auditioning should choose ONE of the four songs from this link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/10EKzPST6EDb1qZ9p95rwOJF446ZSyf_Q?usp=sharing.
(NOTE: The practice tracks can be found on the above listed Drive as well .)
Each person auditioning will sing their choice of song as a solo. We do ask that everyone stay to support all other individuals who are auditioning.
Please arrive early to complete an audition form.
REHEARSAL INFORMATION:
Rehearsals will begin February 26 at 6:30pm with a parent/cast meeting and then some vocal work for the cast. Beginning March 2nd, we will settle into a 3-day a week schedule as follows:
Sundays from 2-5:00pm / Mondays & Wednesdays from 6:30-9:00pm
Rehearsals are slated to be held in the Weston or Platte City area.
FYI - There will be NO rehearsals on Mar 9 or 10.
