This musical comedy is a fun, lighthearted retelling of the Princess and the Pea. The overbearing Queen Aggravain has decreed that no one in the kingdom can marry until her son, Prince Dauntless, has found a bride. However, she continues to sabotage all the would-be candidates. Then along comes Princess Winnifred, who passes the Queen's unfair test and wins the Prince’s hand. This musical is sure to have the audience laughing along with us!
We hope you’re not “SHY”! - Once Upon a Mattress features 9 principal and supporting roles, an additional 7 named characters, plus a full ensemble. We need you! Calling one and all! We are hopeful for a full cast of local talent! All roles [including the ensemble] are created equal and equally needed to make this production come to life!
