NERDY PRUDES MUST DIE
A wildly chaotic, high-energy musical set in a twisted parallel version of high school—where popularity is deadly, secrets run deep, and surviving prom night is anything but guaranteed.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
We are seeking bold, committed performers who aren’t afraid to go BIG. Strong acting, comedic timing, and vocal ability are key. This show lives in heightened reality—so physical comedy, strong character choices, and comfort breaking the fourth wall are a huge plus.

Independent Comedy Club – Hamtramck
Auditions will be held on a first-come, first-served basis. No advance sign-up is required.
Please bring a smart device capable of scanning a QR code to complete the audition form at check-in.
Resumes and headshots are not required.
PREPARE:

ABOUT THE SHOW:
At Hatchetfield High, being a nerd can get you killed… literally. When the social hierarchy turns homicidal, a group of teens must navigate popularity, paranoia, and a growing supernatural threat.
CHARACTERS:
Max Jagerman (Male) – The main school bully. Big, intimidating, and thrives on control. A dominant presence with strong physicality.
Stephanie Lauder (Female) – The cool, confident “it girl.” Popular, sharp, and more layered than she lets on. Love interest of Peter.
Detective Shapiro (Female) – A seasoned detective who fled Chicago to escape major crimes… only to land in the middle of one. Smart, grounded, and driven. Also plays ensemble roles.
Jason (Male) – Jock and loyal sidekick to Max. Confident, comedic, and follows Max’s lead. Also plays ensemble roles.
Kyle (Male) – Another jock sidekick. High energy, physical, and part of Max’s inner circle. Also plays ensemble roles.
Grace Chasity (Female) – A rule-following, deeply religious nerd… with a hidden rebellious side. Complex, comedic, and unexpected. Love interest of Max.
Ruth Fleming (Female) – A nerdy outsider and friend of Peter. Awkward and deeply craving physical connection and affection. Vulnerable, comedic, and heartfelt. Also plays ensemble roles.
Richie Lipschitz (Male) – Peter’s best friend. Loyal, quirky, and full of personality. Also plays ensemble roles.
Peter Spankoffski (Male) – A lovable nerd caught in the chaos. Smart, awkward, and sincere. Love interest of Stephanie. Also plays ensemble roles.
Multi-Role Female Track – Includes characters such as Miss Mulberry, Miss Tessburger, Karen Chasity, Stacey, Nibbly, and additional ensemble roles. Strong character work and versatility required.
We encourage performers of all backgrounds, identities, and experience levels to audition.
REHEARSALS:
Begin in June
Tuesdays & Thursdays (evenings) + Sundays (afternoons)
Locations split between Hamtramck and Chesterfield, MI
PERFORMANCES:
August 21st–30th
COMPENSATION:
Non-Equity
$50 stipend per performance
This production contains mature themes, language, and stylized violence.
