On the night of his 35th birthday, confirmed bachelor, Robert, contemplates his unmarried state. Over the course of a series of dinners, drinks and even a wedding, his friends explain the pros and cons of taking on a spouse. The habitually single Robert is forced to question his adamant retention of bachelorhood during a hilarious array of interactions.

[SARAH] Female presenting, 30-40, Harry's hyper critical wife and tends to overeat, open, accepting, and full of love. Vocal Range: A5-A3
[HARRY] Male presenting, 35-45, Sarah's husband, recovering alcoholic continually falling off the wagon. Believes advantages of marriage outweigh disadvantages. Vocal Range: A5-A3
[SUSAN] Female presenting, 30-40, A delicate southern belle, Peter's wife and ex-wife. Motherly in her affections towards Robert. Vocal Range: A5-A3
[PETER] Male presenting, 30-40, Susan's husband. The perfect husband and ex-husband. He is very liberal in his view of relationships. Vocal Range: A5-B3
[JENNY] Female presenting, 30-40, Quietly manipulative, simultaneously square and wise, loves her husband, David, and will indulge him from time to time. Vocal Range: A5-A3
[DAVID] Male presenting, 30-40, Jenny's husband, relaxed and always in control, believes a man should be married. Vocal Range: A5-B3
[AMY] Female presenting, 25-35, Frantic neurotic engaged to Paul but terrified of marriage. Vocal range: A5-G3
[PAUL] Male presenting, 30-40, Amy's fiancé, mildly clingy, but patient to her neurotic nature. Vocal range: A5-B3
[JOANNE] Female presenting, 40-50, Acerbic, demanding, and blunt. Puts on a brassy front that melts when she is alone with her husband. Vocal range: B5-G3
[LARRY] Male presenting, 45-55, Joanne's husband, stoic and centered, but has moments of goofiness. Indulges wife's behavior but knows when to put his foot down. Vocal range: A5-B3
[MARTA] Female presenting, 20-30, A girlfriend of Robert's, intensely modern, who is seeking adventure and excitement in the City. Vocal range: A5-A3
[KATHY] Female presenting, 25-35, An old girlfriend of Robert's, now a good friend, plans to leave the City for a life of domesticity. Sweet and loving. Vocal range: A5-A3
