The FSPA Dance Company, open to students in Grades 8-12, features the school's most advanced dancers who enjoy expanded performance opportunities. The Company presents a dance concert at THE BLACK BOX in June, along with several showcase performances throughout the school year. Working with FSPA dance faculty as well as guest teachers and choreographers to present pre-professional pieces in ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and musical theater genres, dancers can delve deeper to explore new types of dance or to pursue a broader range within a particular discipline.
Travel opportunities for Company dancers include FSPA’s annual New York City weekend, as well as field trips to performances and master classes. The February NYC weekend provides a full-on dance experience within the Big Apple’s vibrant dance scene. Students will have the opportunity to see a dance show and take classes at the city’s top schools, such as Broadway Dance Center.
