AUDITION INFORMATION
You’ll love this fanciful and heartwarming stage adaptation of the celebrated animated film. Join Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Sven, and all of your favorite characters as they embark on an epic, ice-filled journey of self-discovery, camaraderie, and the real meaning of true love. Adapted for young performers, this musical includes favorite Frozen songs such as “Love Is an Open Door,” “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?,” and “Let It Go,” as well as wonderful new songs from the Broadway production. This production of Frozen KIDS is sure to prove that “some people are worth melting for.”
Presented by Glenda Mitchell Law Firm
Actors must be at least 7 years old by July 18th. Actors can be no older than 12 by July 18th.
(CAN MY 12-YEAR OLD AUDITION FOR BOTH FROZEN KIDS AND MEAN GIRLS JR?
Technically, yes, but they will only be cast in one. If they are offered and accept a role in Frozen KIDS, they will not be offered a role in Mean Girls Jr, even if they audition. These programs are designed to offer as many opportunities as possible to our youth range, so we will not be casting the same actor in both performances.
Please note that most of the lead roles in both productions will be cast with actors in the older part of the respective age range. As a result, a 12-year-old who would like to play a bigger role may have a better shot with Frozen KIDS than they might in Mean Girls Jr.!)

Director: Kaylan Baker
Music Director: Hayley Zavada
Choreographer: Gabby Coleman
Stage Manager: Delaney Smith
-----------------------------------------------------
AUDITIONS: Saturday, July 18th from 2-4pm.
(For those who cannot attend in person, please still fill out the form at the bottom of this page and be sure to send a video of your child’s song to [email protected] by midnight on July 17th.)
In advance of your audition, please prepare the verse and chorus of an age-appropriate musical theatre song. Please do not sing something from the Frozen musical or films; anything from a similar Disney story would be fantastic! Please be sure to have an accompaniment (karaoke) track for your performance. We do not recommend performing a cappella (without a track), and we cannot accommodate actors who wish to accompany themselves with a live instrument.
We are not requesting a monologue; instead, the director has asked that performers make BOLD acting choices with their song preparation.
At auditions, performers will be taught a brief dance combination.
We intend to cast no more than 30 performers. See below for a note about auditions.

A Note about Auditions
Auditions are not a place of judgment, and we are not equipped or qualified to determine whether or not someone is talented. Auditions are the actor’s opportunity to offer their gifts. We then have to decide how best to use them… or if we have a place for them at all.
While we’d love to cast every single person who comes out for our shows, we’re unable to do so. It’s heartbreaking! Please help everyone involved by preparing your auditioner for the possibility that we might not have a place for them this time. We often have twice as many auditions as we have roles to fill, and this unfortunately means having to cut some immensely talented people.
Please help us out by preparing your young actor before they come to auditions. If you do not believe they can handle possibly being cut from the show, we ask that you wait a bit longer before encouraging them to try out.
Thank you so much!
