Join us for Auditions! Everyone welcome!
Riot Act, Inc. will be holding auditions for its production of The Antiquities by Jordan Harrison. The performances will run early March 2027. The show is helmed by director Macey Mott. The production will be staged as an immersive experience in The Jackson Hole History Museum. The audience will move from Exhibit (scene) to Exhibit (scene) through the museum.
Play Description:
At the Museum of Late Human Antiquities, the curators are fiercely committed to bringing a lost civilization to life again: What were humans really like? What did they wear, what did they eat, how did they die out? By casting us into the far future, Jordan Harrison’s new play gives us an uncanny view of the present moment, as we straddle the analog world that was and the post-human world to come. ~Concord Theatricals
All actors will be cast as multiple characters. The play calls for at least 4 people who can play women, 4 people who can play men, and 1 person who can play a boy. Specifically we are looking for a person of Asian descent that can play a Chinese female character. The boy must be able to play 10 years old. All other characters can be of any age or cultural/racial background.
Auditions will consist of cold readings and optional prepared monologues. Please bring to auditions your schedule of conflicts including work schedule through March 14, 2027. If you would like to schedule an audition time, please contact Riot Act, Inc. to do so. Otherwise please arrive at the beginning of audition times. If you are not able to make auditions but still would like to audition, please contact us to set up another time. If you have a headshot and resume, please bring them. If you would like to read the script before auditions, please let us know.
We are also still looking for a stage manager, crew, and designers, if you are interested in joining our production team. Please contact us for more information.
