Location: The Dunedin Recreation Center at 1920 Pinehurst Rd, Dunedin. (727) 812-4531. Resume appreciated but not required.
Production Dates: Evenings on May 1, 2, 8, and 9 and Matinee on Sunday May 3rd.
Practices are on Mondays and Thursdays with some Wednesdays for the more physical blocking (fight scenes, etc.). Please review the schedule above and the days/dates. Provide any potential conflicts with you to list on the audition form.

Synopsis: A Melodrama at its best! Filled with puns, punches, and munchable moose muffins, this classic melodrama is wonderfully entertaining. Set in the roomy Dead Moose Lodge, this delightful melodrama has a myriad of amusing and over the top characters, plot twists, and exaggerated scenes. From the harried heroine, Marginally Modest, to the villainous Brad Apple to our splendidly honest hero, Seymore Stoutfellow, each cast member has a chance to steal the show! In short, Ma Belle fights to save the Dead Moose Lodge from repossession, while managing to hold off the selfish advances of the lecherous Judge Jury McBribe. In the meantime, Granny Fanny is searching for a husband, while her daughter Prunehilda fights to defend her honor, even though no one is threatening it. Willimena Worm falls madly in love with Turkey O’Trot (Ma Belle’s defender to the end) and fills him with moose munchies. All the while, Ruben Z. Patsy, undercover judge posing as an inept bumbler, arrives to sentence the guilty! But just who is the guilty one? Tired of dramas? This is your chance to be over the top silly and have fun with a script/show! Complete craziness will ensue!
Cast of Characters: 4 Men (various ages), 8 Women (18 to 80s), 1 Either (any age).
Marginally Modest Marge (f)………. Young, innocent, sweet and simple. Must be able to perform physically active scenes.
Monopoly Belle (Ma Belle) (f)………. Ma Belle is middle-aged, determined, and hard pressed for cash. Owns Dead Moose Lodge.
Brad Apple (m)………. Mean and slimy. Must be able to crouch and perform physical comedy.
Gladiola (f)………. Shy, quiet, and shrill. Silliness in a dress.
Hatti Hogge (f)………. Loud, crude and odiferous.
Granny Fanny (f)………. “Eighty seven” year old spitfire looking for her 7th husband.
Prunehilde Pincher (f)………. Prim, proper and prune-faced. Granny’s old maid of a daughter.
Judge Jury McBride (m)………. Determined to get the most out of life, preferably cash. The name says it all.
Seymore Stoutfellow (m)………. Colorado Mounty, loyal, honest and simple. Must be able to do physical fight scene/comedy.
Willimena Worm (f)………. Dumb, beautiful, lonesome.
Turkey O’Trot (m)………. Oversized, under-brained woodchopper. Athletic/muscular build. Must be able to do physical fight scene/comedy.
Ruben Z. Patsy (m)………. Judge in disguise.
Poster Girl/Boy (m/f)………. Posts signs that show scene location (non-speaking role) Can be any age.
