ABOUT THE SHOW:
POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive is a satirical farce by Selina Fillinger about the women in the President's life who must clean up his latest PR disaster, a four-letter word that creates a global crisis. The play follows the Chief of Staff, Press Secretary, Secretary, First Lady, and others as they risk their sanity to manage the fallout, exploring themes of sex, politics, and power through witty, fast-paced dialogue.
CONTENT ADVISORY: Adult language, adult situations, partial state of undress, physical slapstick, drug use.
LOOKING TO CAST THE FOLLOWING CHARACTERS:
Chris: (Female presenting, 20s-30s, Black or Multi-racial) A journalist that is trying to cover the drama unfolding, navigating the frantic atmosphere. Includes a scene where she has breast pumps on.
Dusty: (Female presenting, 20s-30s, any ethnicity) The mistress. Pregnant. A bubbly, naive young farm girl who comes to the White House to fill a position. Implied sexual acts offstage.
