“In the Heights” tells a story rooted in culture, connection, and community. It centers a Latine neighborhood and celebrates the everyday lives, dreams, and resilience of the people who call it home.
Too often, productions like this are framed by assumptions about who is “available,” “qualified,” or “represented” in our local arts community. We want to change that narrative.
At Little Theatre of Norfolk, this production is an intentional step toward creating space for Latine artists and collaborators in Hampton Roads. We are actively inviting Latine performers, designers, technicians, and community members to join us, while also welcoming artists of all backgrounds and experience levels to be part of the process.
Whether this is your first audition or your fiftieth, you are welcome here. Your voice matters. Your story belongs on our stage. Together, we can continue building a theatre community that is vibrant, inclusive, and rooted in care. We hope you will join us and help us spread the word.
Call backs will be by invitation on Saturday, February 21.
Performances will be Fri, Sat, & Sundays from May 8 - May 31, 2026.
