Way Off Broadway Dinner Theater is proud to announce
❄️ AUDITIONS for ❄️
☃️ Disney’s FROZEN! ☃️
❄️ *Adult Performers:* ❄️
Adult Auditions will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2025. Sign in begins at 11:30AM, Auditions begin at 12:00PM, Must be signed in by 12:15PM.
All roles are open. Swings/Understudies may be cast/considered. Must be 16+ to audition for all roles other than Young Anna and Young Elsa. Those under the age of 18 wishing to audition must bring a parent/guardian. The parent/guardian will not be permitted in the audition room unless they are auditioning as well.
Please bring headshot and resume with you to audition. Please prepare 16 bars of a song in the style of the show to be sung a cappella. You may be asked to learn/sing a song from Frozen at auditions, so familiarity with the cast recording is highly encouraged. Be prepared to perform cold readings from the script. There will be a dance/movement audition, so please bring or wear clothes that you can move in and that show our choreographer how you move.
❄️ *Child Performers:* ❄️
Child performers wishing to be considered for Young Anna & Young Elsa should submit a video audition via email to [email protected] by NO LATER THAN 9:00pm (EST) on Saturday, January 10th.
In this email, please include a self-tape of the child singing the pre-selected cut of “Do You Want to Build a Snowman” a cappella (without instrumental track/music). Lyrics & Sheet music can be found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZRaaArcnfyhqSWEG8QPB72gGda4PKolU/view?usp=drivesdk
If the production team wishes to see the child in person, they may be invited to a callback on January 18 at 11:30am. Only those child performers invited should attend callbacks.
Performance Dates: Friday and Saturday evenings March 28, April 10, 17, 18, 24, 25, May 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, & 23, Sunday matinees March 29, April 19, May 3, & 24 and one Saturday Show-Only Matinee on April 25. Additional performances may be added if needed based upon cast availability.
All performers will be paid a per-performance stipend. Additionally, those cast will be given the opportunity to join the restaurant service staff (if legally eligible, and following training) where they may earn gratuities.
Must reside within driving distance to Frederick, MD. Housing is not provided.

Character Breakdown:
Young Anna
Child performer. Should appear to be age(s) 8 - 11.
Young Anna is the younger Princess of Arendelle. Filled with a tremendous amount of light, energy, and love, Anna is a hopelessly optimistic extrovert. She is a strong singer with great comic timing.
Vocal range: Bb3-E5
Young Elsa
Child performer. Should appear to be age(s) 9 - 12
Young Elsa is the elder Princess of Arendelle. Next in line for the throne, Elsa was born with magical powers. Fearful of hurting anyone, especially her beloved sister, Anna, Elsa becomes anxious and withdrawn. Must be a very strong singer who can portray Elsa's loving but restrained nature.
Vocal range: A3-C#5
Elsa
Future Queen of Arendelle and Anna’s older sister; born with magical powers, isolates herself from others out of fear. Performer with a strong belt who can portray Elsa’s conflict and heart.
Vocal range: E3-Eb5
Anna
Princess of Arendelle and Elsa’s younger sister; an eternal optimist who longs to be loved and to connect with other people. A strong singer with great comedic timing.
Vocal range: G3-E5
Kristoff
Hardworking ice harvester with a prickly exterior that hides a big heart. A bit of a loner with a reindeer for a best friend.
Vocal range: A2-Bb4
Hans
Prince of the Southern Isles and the overlooked youngest of thirteen brothers; charming and ambitious. Believes he’s Prince Charming when really, he’s just a power-hungry jerk.
Vocal range: A2-A4
Olaf
Magical snowman with a childlike innocence. Olaf is endearingly delighted by everything—especially the idea of summer. Goofy and sweet, this performer must have excellent comic timing. Puppeteering experience a plus.
Alto Performer Vocal Range: E3-Eb5
Tenor Performer Vocal Range: B2-Bb4
Sven
Kristoff’s fiercely loyal reindeer best friend. Sven is a reindeer of few words, but loves giving Kristoff a hard time. Puppeteering experience a plus.
Weselton
Duke from a neighboring kingdom; chauvinistic, impolite, and judgmental.
Vocal range: F3-A4
Oaken
Amiable salesperson and relentless advocate of hygge; cheerful, jolly, and devoted to all things cozy and comfortable. Performer will also be included in the Ensemble.
Vocal range: A2-Bb4
Queen Iduna
Queen of Arendelle and child of the Northhuldra; strong and compassionate mother. Performer will also be included in the Ensemble.
Vocal range: F3- E5
King Agnarr
King of Arendelle; warm-hearted and protective father. Performer will also be included in the Ensemble.
Vocal range: B2-C4
Pabbie
Mystical shaman and patriarch of the Hidden Folk; Kristoff’s wise adoptive father. Performer will also be included in the Ensemble.
Vocal range: Ab2-Gb4
Bulda
Spiritual matriarch of the Hidden Folk; Kristoff’s nurturing and vibrant adoptive mother. Performer will also be included in the Ensemble.
Vocal range top: Bb3-D5
Ensemble
Includes the following roles: Townspeople, Staff, Guards, Hidden Folk, Oaken's Family and Friends, Volunteers, Bishop, Handmaiden, Lackeys, Hidden Folk Child
