Audition requirement: This is a non-paid opportunity• Please complete the audition form in advance, if possible. We will have forms at the auditions as well. You can find the form at https://blt-online.org/wordpress/
• No appointment is necessary. Auditions are on a first-come basis.
• Please prepare 32 -36 bars of a song that showcases your voice.
• If possible please have it be in the style of the music for the cabaret or cabarets you are auditioning for. You do not need to sing a Bond or Bacharach song.
• Please bring music in the key that you will be singing.
• An accompanist will be provided. No singing to tracks.
Join us for two cabarets inspired by the music of Bond movies and the music of Burt Bacharach! Auditions will take place July 23 from 7-9 PM and August 3, 2024, from 10 am to noon at Palisades HUB, 5200 Cathedral Ave. NW.
Each cabaret will feature a cast of 6 in a small, intimate production in the Fireside Room at River Road Unitarian Universalist Church in Bethesda, MD. Bond Cabaret October 18 and 19. Bacharach January 10 and 11.
The Music of Bond…James Bond will include famous Bond themes that span the history of Bond. Bacharach Makes the Music Play will include songs that Bacharach wrote with lyricist Hal David, Carole Bayer Sager, Christopher Cross, and other famous lyricists.
