Breakroom Entertainment, Inc. is looking for NINE triple-threats to star in the world premiere of a brand new musical: “AVA RICE AND THE EIGHTH SIN”

Deep in the Underworld, seven accountants (one for each of the Seven Deadly Sins) are struggling to meet their quotas: humanity is simply too used to sin.
That’s when a determined rookie named Avarice heads to the Human World to identify a new, eighth sin and save her job in the process.
But what she uncovers doesn’t just break the rules: it threatens the fate of humanity itself!
From writer Pedro Amaral comes a wickedly funny new musical
that dives headfirst into sin, chaos, and the flaws that make us human.

THE SIN ACCOUNTANTS
Seven supernatural beings, each the physical embodiment of one of the Seven Deadly Sins. They work together as accountants in the Underworld, keeping track of humanity’s moral failings.
They are:
AVARICE (F 18-25, soprano with pop belt)
Our lead character, and the youngest sin accountant: a bubbly, confident overachiever (think Cher Horowitz meets Hermione Granger) full of wide-eyed optimism. Certain she’s destined for greatness...until her journey forces her to question what greatness actually means.
LUST (Any gender, any age, alto/tenor)
The seductive, high-powered manager of the Department of Human Transgressions. Simply put, the head bitch in charge. An edgy dominatrix with a commanding, nefarious personality and strong comic instincts.
SLOTH (M, 20-30, baritenor) [Doubles as XANDER]
A stoner, friendly when he’s awake, but almost always asleep.
GLUTTONY (F, Teens/20s, mezzo soprano) [Doubles as PATRICIA/LUNCH LADY]
A tiny little girl with a huge appetite for food AND for gossip.
ENVY (F, Teens/20s, soprano) [Doubles as ANDREA/LUNCH LADY]
A bratty, jealous menace who throws tantrums like a toddler.
PRIDE (M, Teens/20s, tenor) [Doubles as MIKE]
A vain, self-centered egomaniac with a sense of humor.
THE HUMANS
Student, faculty, and staff at Pope Gregory High School, class of 1989.
CHAD BOOKER (M, 18-25, baritenor)[Doubles as ORIGINAL SLOTH]
The most popular senior at Pope Gregory High. Handsome, athletic, incredibly charismatic and impossibly naive.
SANDY DUVALL (F, 18-25, soprano with pop belt)
The smartest girl in school. An overachieving senior poised to be valedictorian. Driven and judgmental of those who don’t work as hard as she does.
LULU (F, 40s-60s, character alto)
A lunch lady at Pope Gregory High, with a big, brassy personality, a sharp tongue, and a motherly heart. She’s a former Sin Accountant who now lives as a human on Earth and guides the current Sin Accountants on how to pass as humans.
At this time, we do not provide transportation or housing.

It is NOT necessary to attend both audition dates.
Callbacks (if necessary) will take place on March 22 at 7pm.
We are not able to consider video submissions at this time.
PRE-REGISTRATION IS RECOMMENDED. AUDITION SLOTS ARE LIMITED.
Please prepare 16 bars (roughly 30 seconds) of a pop song of your choice
that showcases your strongest vocals, with recorded accompaniment.
(Bluetooth-enabled speakers will be available. A live accompanist will not be provided. )
You may also be asked to read from the script and learn a short dance combination.
