Ten strangers are summoned to a remote island. All that the guests have in common is a wicked past they’re unwilling to reveal and a secret that will seal their fate. For each has been marked for murder. As the weather turns and the group is cut off from the mainland, one by one they are mysteriously murdered in accordance with the lines of a sinister nursery rhyme. Casting for 10-11 actors. RP Dialects (Standard British for all roles except Fred Narracott and Mr. and Mrs. Rogers, who will be asked to do cockney dialects. Actors will receive coaching and tools to learn dialects.
Auditions: Tuesday and Wednesday, February 4 and 5 from 3:30-6:30pm in the Dietrich Theatre on the Rocklin Campus at Sierra College
Auditions consist of cold readings. Auditioners are encouraged to prepare a one-minute modern monologue any genre from a published stage play. (Please avoid screenplays, teleplays, original writing, or song lyrics. Monologues should best portray actor's strengths and must be memorized. No dialects required for monologues. That will be for readings only. It is requested that auditioners
bring TWO in-person copies to the Auditions of 8x10 color photo-headshot and resume of acting experience, but this is not required.
Callbacks (by invitation only): Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 3:30-6:30pm.
Rehearsal Dates: Feb. 10 through Mar. 20, 2025, Mon-Fri 3:30pm-6:30pm. There will be one pick-up rehearsal on Thur., Apr. 3.
Performance Dates: March 21–April 13, 2025, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm, Sundays at 2:00pm, with performances on Saturday, April 5 at 2:00pm (no evening performance that day), Thursday, April 10 at 7:00pm, and a school’s performance on Friday, April 11 at 10:00am. No performances the week of March 24 – 30.

Thomas Rogers: 30’s – 40’s, A competent and resilient server of the house.
Bitter and shifty, married to Ethel. (cockney)
Ethel Rogers: 30’s – 40’s, A worried, frightened, finicky housekeeper, who is
Always nervous about something (cockney)
Fred Narracott: Boat driver, Supply deliverer. Simple and blunt.
(Cockney accent)
Vera Claythorne: 20’s, Newly hired secretary, former governess.
Intelligent, level-headed until pressure mounts, then grows hysterical
Philip Lombard: 30’s, Bold, arrogant, quick-witted, resourceful, adventurous
Former Captain in East Africa.
Anthony Marston: 20’s, Young and reckless, rich, spoiled
William Blore: – 40’s, Practical and Careful but not too deep. A policeman
who cannot figure anything out.
John G. MacKenzie:– 60’s, A retired General. Feels out of place and uncomfortable
Socially. Defensive
Emily Brent: – 60’s, A devout Christian. Thinks the worst in people who are
“Less fortunate” than her
Judge Wargrave: – 50’s, A highly esteemed judge. He comes across as cool and
collected. He seems to thrive under the situation and take charge in uncovering the truth
Dr. Armstrong: – 40’s, A gullible, slightly timid, recovering alcoholic.
Draws suspicion of others due to his medical knowledge
