Children entering 4th-10th* grade for the 26/27 school year are invited to audition for The Enchanted Bookshop, our Summerstack Children’s Production being presented July 10-12.REGISTRATION REQUIRED
During the day, A Likely Story may look like any other used bookstore. But at night, it’s a place where magic happens. That’s when the characters inside the books come alive.
Six of those characters — Dorothy Gale, Robin Hood, Pollyanna, Sherlock Holmes, Heidi, and Tom Sawyer — long to help Margie, the scatterbrained owner, save her struggling store. But they’re not allowed to leave the building or be seen by human eyes. So when a pair of smugglers comes looking for a stolen necklace hidden inside one of the books, the characters are torn. Should they warn Margie and risk disappearing forever? Or can they find a way to defeat the crooks without being seen?
Featuring additional appearances by such beloved literary characters as the Queen of Hearts, Long John Silver, and Doctor Dolittle, this charming comedy celebrates the joy of reading in a fresh, fun-filled way.
Registration is required. Your student should arrive by 10am on Monday, June 8 ready to read from the script provided at auditions. Students should be available June 8-July 2 from 10am-12pm Monday-Thursday, July 6-11 from 6:30pm-8:30pm, and July 12 from 1:30pm-3:30pm. All known conflicts should be provided on your registration form. Unexcused absences may result in being removed from the show. Email [email protected] for more information.
*Students attending our Theatre Explorers Camp or auditioning for Murder’s in the Heir that are not entering 4th-10th grades may be invited to audition by the Director. For more info, please contact [email protected].
