The dramedy focuses on a North Carolina Republican U.S. senator three days before his bid for reelection. In the wake of a school shooting in his hometown, the senator makes an off-the-cuff comment that calls into question his stance on guns and on God.The show requires a cast of two men and two women, although additional actors could be cast. Auditions will be held Sunday, January 11th, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. and on Monday, January 12th, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. Callbacks will be on Monday, January 12th, if needed. Rehearsals for Church & State begin Sunday, February 22nd, 2026. Auditions are conducted at Centenary Church, 501 S. 2nd Street, downtown Mankato. All are welcome!
There will be four performances, 7:30 p.m. on March 19, 20 and 21, with a Saturday matinee on March 21 at 2:00 p.m.
Centenary Social Justice Theatre produces shows under the mission statement: Using theatre to illuminate social justice, explore spiritual values and build community.
