Auditions - Cabaret on The Concho: Broadway Goes Hollywood

Cabaret on the Concho: Broadway Goes Hollywood is ACT’s newest cabaret, celebrating the iconic songs that have crossed between stage and screen. This production brings together local performers for an intimate evening of music inspired by movie musicals and films that later found their way to Broadway. If you love performing and want to be part of a fun, low‑stress, community‑driven project, we’d love to see you at auditions.
Auditions begin at 2:00pm on September 5th at Angelo Civic Theatre. Once you’ve performed all of your audition pieces, you’re free to leave.
Before attending, please fill out the Google Form to help us streamline check‑in and scheduling. Walk‑ups are welcome, but completing the form ahead of time is strongly encouraged.

Song Requirements:
Your audition piece must be from one of the following:
• A Broadway or Off‑Broadway musical that was adapted into a movie
• A movie (musical or non‑musical) that was later adapted into a Broadway or Off‑Broadway musical
(Examples include Sweeney Todd, Cabaret, In the Heights, Singin’ in the Rain, Back to the Future, Mean Girls.)
Pro‑shot recordings do not qualify.
Rehearsals:
Rehearsals will be held Thursdays from 6:30pm–9:30pm.
If cast, you will learn two ensemble pieces.
The cast list will be posted the following week.
