Youth Clay Collective for kids ages 9–13.
Every Monday on a 4 week rotation 5 PM–7 PM

Looking for a new art form to get your hands dirty with? Maybe you’re looking to explore an art form that ends with something you can use in your day-to-day life. Look no further than the art of ceramics!

This four-week course, designed for ages 9-13, teaches all the introductory fundamentals one needs to know when beginning to work with ceramics. Students will learn techniques such as coiling, slab building, and pinching to create functional or sculptural pieces. Beyond these skills, students will learn about clay consistencies, basic tools, and the various stages of clay and the glazing processes that result in a finished creation.
Classes are hands-on with instructor demonstrations. No experience needed! Students will receive their own clay as needed for each project.

Where to Go & What to Bring:

Your class will meet each week at the Concho Clay Studio. We are part of the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, located at 1 Love Street, San Angelo, TX. 76903. Look for our signs outside the studio! Our entrance is located to the left of the main museum, up the ramp in the breezeway.

Tools and clay are provided for the class.

Important Notes:

This class is for kids ages 9-13.
Only one ticket may be purchased at a time. Please use the name of the student taking the course if you are purchasing a ticket for another person.
There is a minimum registration of 5 students required for a class to make. If a class does not meet the minimum student requirement, you will be notified as soon as possible to switch classes or get a class credit for another time.
