ADRIAN - THE ALTERNATIVE PANTOMIME

Welcome to Pantoland, a magical place where anything could, should, and probably would happen! Adrian - The Alternative Pantomime is a hilarious, fractured, modern spin on classic fairy tales. Our hero, Adrian, is completely disillusioned with his mundane life selling pitchforks while everyone else gets a happy ever after. But when he accidentally mistakes his Fairy Godmother for a bug and swats her with a rolled-up newspaper, he must inherit her tiny list of unfulfilled wishes to save the day.
Accompanied by his best friend Red Riding Hood and the outrageous Dame Dong, Adrian embarks on a chaotic quest. Along the way, they encounter Bo Peep, Pinocchio, Cinderella, Pirates, and a villainous Wolf. Belle tags along for the ride with her eyes set on Adrian, much to Red’s frustration. It’s a fast-paced comedy filled with spontaneous songs and plenty of traditional panto fun with an alternative twist!
INFORMATION
Auditions will be held in the Lounge at Tea Tree Players Theatre as there will be another show rehearsing on these dates.
Everyone involved, whether cast or crew over the age of 14, will need to obtain a Working with Children Check. These are free for volunteer use at the Theatre. These clearances will need to be obtained by 20 July.
Rehearsals will be every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 7pm from 7 July. Not all cast will be needed at all rehearsals.
If you already know you are going to be unavailable for the tech dress rehearsal or any other rehearsals during the final week or any performances, please do not audition as you will be unable to commit to the production.
There will be dance and movement involved in many of the musical numbers which are all from the 70s.
I regret that I will not be able to cast everyone who auditions. We just don’t have enough room on our small stage or in the dressing room areas or green room to accommodate everyone. Most ensemble roles will double.
