Calling all villains!
Spotlight Players is holding auditions for A Night of Villainy, a wickedly entertaining cabaret directed by Mirna Drake, with musical direction by Max Kaiser.
Ursula the Sea Witch is hosting her annual Halloween party for her villainous friends—but when an argument erupts over who has the greatest song, classic and contemporary musical-theatre villains clash in an impromptu sing-off. Who will prove that their song reigns supreme?
Please note: This is a celebration of villains from across musical theatre and is not exclusively Disney-themed.
Audition dates:
August 8, 10:00 AM–1:00 PM
August 10, 7:00–9:00 PM

Please prepare a 32-bar cut of a song that best showcases your voice, skills, and personality, and bring clearly marked sheet music for the accompanist. Because the show includes a healthy dose of improv, come ready to make bold choices, play, and embrace your wicked side!
Rehearsals will be held on Tuesdays, Fridays, and select Saturdays during scheduled time slots. Performers may not be needed for every number, but everyone is encouraged to participate in ensemble songs.

October 9 and 10 at 8:00 PM
And for our audience: Come dressed to impress—or terrify! We’ll hold Halloween costume contests during intermission for both children and adults.
